Easter In Dubai: Top Picks For Celebrations

10 Apr 2025

Easter is on its way! This year, the celebration falls on April 20 for both Catholic and Orthodox Christians, but according to tradition, preparations begin the Sunday before — April 13 — and last all week. As one of the most important Christian holidays, Easter is filled with meaningful symbols we all know and love: coloured eggs, traditional Easter cakes, and big family meals. What to buy for this festival — and where to celebrate it? The best options are below.

What to buy for your home Easter celebration?

Easter always comes with two essentials: colourful eggs — the symbol of new life and rebirth — and Easter cake — the symbol of joy and abundance.
While the first is quite easy to organise yourself (just grab a few eggs and some dye or natural colouring, and you are good to go), the second can be a bit more of a challenge. But don't worry — here are a few great places in Dubai where you can pre-order your perfect Easter cake:
Angel Cakes
For this Easter, Angel Cakes Dubai is offering limited-edition special festive cakes in three delicious variations:
  • Cottage Cheese Easter Cake — coming with freeze-dried raspberries, dried figs, toasted pecans, and citrus zest. For those who believe a proper cake should be juicy and rich.
  • Keto Easter Cake — made with almond and coconut flour. Perfect for those watching their calories.
  • Vegan Easter Cake — a plant-based, curd-style cake made with tofu, dried cranberries, mulberries, and toasted pecans. Will work for all your vegan friends.
Which one should you choose? That is up to you — but hurry! Pre-orders are open only until April 16.

Bakerist
If you miss that classic Easter cake — the one your grandmother used to bake — check Bakerist! Its cake version will hit all the nostalgic notes. The taste, the decoration… it is a warm memory from childhood, made fresh again. Available for order at all four Bakerist locations: Dubai Hills Mall, Golden Mile (Palm Jumeirah), Bluewaters, and Al Hamra Mall.

The Perfect Gift Dubai
Tired of the same old designs and looking for something different? Check out the Easter cake from The Perfect Gift Dubai — it is fun and bold, colourful and shaped like a giant Easter egg (actually the half of it!). It looks exactly like the kind of cake you could potentially eat all by yourself (but yes, you will probably share it with family). Comes in three flavours: vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet.

What to buy for Easter as a present?

In both Catholic and Orthodox countries, celebrating Easter with family and friends is part of the tradition. And while there is no strict rule about giving gifts, it is always a thoughtful gesture.
Here are a few options to consider:
Maison Revka
A charming chocolate matryoshka — a fun twist on the classic chocolate egg. Like any proper festive treat, it hides a little surprise inside. Sweet, playful, and definitely gift-worthy.

GRA Chocolates
The hype around Dubai-style chocolate might have calmed down a bit, but let’s be honest — we are still obsessed. The Easter egg with pistachio kunafa, milk chocolate, and a burst of colour is everything you need for the sweetest Easter ever.

FNP.EA Flower Arrangement
If you are heading to someone’s home for the celebration, flowers are always a safe (and beautiful) bet. Around the date, there will be plenty of options, but one to keep an eye on is FNP.EA. Their Easter tray includes spring flowers and a festive cake — a perfect combo.
