Watches & Wonders 2025: The Most Eye-Catching Models

11 Apr 2025

This month, Watches and Wonders once again gathered the key players of the watch world to unveil their latest creations for the 2025 edition of the trade show. Minimalist in thought yet maximalist at heart, our fashion contributor Sana Bun took a closer look at the novelties and curated a selection of the most intricately designed models that shot straight to the top of our wishlist.

Czapek & Cie, Antarctique Tourbillon Secret Alloy, Limited Edition

To mark 180 years since its founding — and 10 years since its revival — Czapek & Cie unveiled a special limited edition: the Antarctique Tourbillon Secret Alloy. Powered by Calibre 9 with a flying tourbillon — a movement designed, developed, and mostly machined in-house — it features a sleek openworked design and a new guilloché dial called Singularité, inspired by the astronomical concept of singularity, where the usual rules of physics break down. Just 50 pieces were made — and yes, it is every bit as refined as it sounds.

Christiaan Van Der Klaauw, Grand Planetarium Eccentric Meteorite

As mind-blowing as it gets, the Grand Planetarium Eccentric Meteorite by Christiaan Van Der Klaauw features a dial with fragments of Martian Nakhlite meteorite — yes, actual space rock that travelled billions of years to end up on your wrist. Impressive, right? But it doesn’t stop there. It also boasts a mechanical planetarium that shows all eight planets orbiting the Sun in real time. Add a starry aventurine glass sky, and you have basically got the solar system ticking away on your arm.

ArtyA Geneve, Purity Wavy HMS Mirror

Limited to just 99 pieces, the ArtyA Purity Wavy HMS Mirror immediately grabs your attention with its striking minimalist design, yet it is the subtle details that truly leave a lasting impression. The 40mm titanium case, with its transparent DLC coating, strikes the perfect balance between strength and sophistication, while the contrast between matte and polished finishes adds a dynamic visual appeal. The mirror-finish case back is a standout feature, offering a glimpse of the in-house manual-winding movement — a unique touch that elevates the design even further.

Bvlgari, Serpenti Aeterna

With its latest timepiece, Bvlgari takes the iconic Serpenti collection to bold new heights. For the first time, the legendary serpent is reimagined as a sleek bangle bracelet, crafted from precious gold and adorned with diamonds. The design eliminates unnecessary embellishments, focusing on the purest form of Bvlgari’s signature style, with a daring, sculptural shape that forgoes eyes and scales.

Cartier, Panthère de Cartier

The Panthère de Cartier has also undergone a dazzling transformation, seamlessly blending fierce zebra and tiger motifs in a striking colour combination. Hand-applied black and golden-brown lacquer, fired at high temperatures, brings an untamed energy to the design, while the dial, adorned with 145 brilliant-cut diamonds and the bracelet, paved with 314 diamonds and 86 fiery orange and yellow spessartites sparkle with pure opulence and radiate an intoxicating vibrancy that is impossible to ignore. It is wild. It is luxurious. It is a statement.

Cartier, Tressage Watch

Straying from tradition, the Cartier Tressage ditches the usual bangle or leather strap — taking a bold leap into the unknown, where watchmaking and jewellery seamlessly come together. With its avant-garde design and a striking mix of yellow gold and bold volumes, this timepiece pushes boundaries and challenges conventions, showing that true elegance often lies in the unexpected.
