It is no secret that three nations in the world know everything about bread: the French, Germans, and Italians. Well, we had an opportunity to chat with a collective with such diverse backgrounds that they would outdo all three. Together with our lovely friends from COPIA Group we have created a go-to bakeries list for you to enjoy a great piece of dough any time you want!
Meet the girls:
Rania El Sadek — the founder and a true sneakerhead and fashion lover.
Angelica Vidal — a person, representing a blend of arts and communication.
Marion Kerboul — is where French hospitality meets eastern chick.
Being from all over the place, including France, the Netherlands, the UK, the US, Sweden, and more, and now living in Dubai, The Sandy Times editorial team decided that this PR collective could give the best insights on where to find the freshest pastries in the city from those who have tried them across the globe.
Bageri Form
Location: Building 4, Dubai Design District
Opening hours: Mon–Thur: 7.30 am–8 pm; Fri–Sun: 8.30 am–10 pm.
Marion: You can come anytime as their pastries are made throughout the day, so it is always fresh, plus their matcha is one of the few that doesn’t have a grassy flavour.
Item: Cinnamon Roll and Matcha Latte.
Rania: Naturally I lean into this one as it is based on Swedish baking, but that is not the only reason I love this little slice of heaven. They have the most amazing bread, croissants, coffees, matcha, and most importantly, they have an insanely yummy cardamom bun.
Interiors are simple with complementing greenery, and the sun hits the best afternoon shadows.

Birch Bakery
Location: It is situated at Unnamed Road in Al Quoz, but here is a Google Maps pin
Opening hours: 7 am–3 pm
Marion: Literally a hidden bakery, as it is just a hole in a wall, in Al Quoz. There is a sitting area, nothing to impress, and that is why it is so good. They focus on their ingredients instead of on their visuals. You definitely have to go there in the morning because they sell out fast. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu.
Item: Everything.
Paul
Location: All over the city! Find shops here.
Opening hours: depends on location, but usually you can pop up at any time the whole mall is open
Angelica: I like to stick to the basics. Being French, I always need to have a baguette at home, and Paul is the closest to the French baguette I’ve found in Dubai. Everyone needs their go-to, no-fuss boulangerie. Paul has bakeries all over Dubai, so it is convenient when you just want to pop in and grab your breakfast staples.
Item: Baguette.
Milk Bakery
Location: Wasl 51 building, Al Wasl Rd, Jumeirah 1
Opening hours: Sun-Thur 7:30am-12 am | Fri-Sat 7:30am-1am
Marion: Located in Al Wasl, Milk is the perfect breakfast spot. It has all the necessary breakfast items you need. My go-to order is Banana peanut caramel porridge with a milk latte, which is their version of the Spanish latte.

Rania: One the yummiest cheese cakes in town.
Item: Cheese Cake.
Magnolia Bakery
Location: Ground Floor, Festival Square, Dubai Festival City Mall
Opening hours: Sun–Wed: 8 am–11 pm; Fri–Sat: 8 am–12 am
Angelica: Admittedly, it is basic, but I don’t care, it is so good. Magnolia is a classic New York-style bakery and the banana pudding hits every time. I prefer to bring their pudding to dinner parties and it is always a crowd-pleaser. The combination of creamy and spongy is unreal.
Item: The Banana pudding *drools*.
Orto Café
Location: 395 Al Athar Street, Jumeirah
Opening hours: 7 am–12 am
Marion: In my opinion, Orto is the most aesthetic café in Dubai. They serve the best Spanish latte so far, and they have great pastries and desserts. Their king egg croissant is the best morning snack. I love going there as they frequently host pop-up events on their 2nd floor featuring local brands, making it a great spot to discover new projects in town.

OTAKU
Location: Dubai Design District
Opening hours: 7 am–11.30 pm
Rania: Calm and simple, this little Japanese eatery makes time to stop. Minimalist yet homey interiors. And with the best iced matcha, definitely recommend ordering it with coconut milk. Their fluffy Japanese pancakes with berries are also a must.
Item: Iced Matcha and Pancakes.
Angelica: Beautiful wabi sabi vibes, which feels very zen. It is a perfect little escape, when you work in D3 and want a change of scenery. My favourite matcha in the city.
Item: Iced Matcha Latte.
Pekoe Tea & Bread Bar
Location: Warehouse 59 at the yard, Alserkal Avenue
Opening hours: 7 am–9 pm
Rania: One of the best bakeries in town and at one of my favourite areas in Dubai, Alserkal avenue.
Item: Salmon Mango Smørrebrød and their Pain au Chocolat.
