A new chapter unfolds as Palladium Hotel Group, a prominent Spanish hospitality giant renowned for its luxurious properties worldwide, ventures into the Middle East, marking its debut in the UAE. The group manages a lot of successful brands, including Ushuaïa Unexpected Hotels.
For those living under the rock, Ushuaïa Unexpected Hotels & Residences is famous for its luxury experiences that mix music, fun, and great service, starting in Ibiza in 2011. Embracing a fresh identity, the group introduces The Unexpected Hotels and Residences brand, set to redefine hospitality standards.
Situated on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, this forthcoming development is a collaboration between Palladium, Al Marjan, and Almal Real Estate Development. While not the group's maiden venture, it represents the international premiere of the renowned Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel under the Ushuaïa Unexpected Hotels & Residences umbrella. With an anticipated investment exceeding $100 million, the project encompasses 442 opulent hotel rooms and residential units. Seamlessly integrated into the existing setup, the property boasts a chic beach club, a gourmet restaurant, and a breathtaking infinity pool, all overlooking the serene Arabian Gulf.
Meanwhile, back in Ibiza, beginning in late summer 2024, Playa d'en Bossa (the legendary Bossa beach) is undergoing substantial renovations, rejuvenating both The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel and the iconic Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel. This evolution promises a fusion of luxury accommodation, fine dining, and the iconic entertainment that defines Ibiza's spirit. By the end of 2025, the metamorphosis extends to The Ushuaïa Tower, rebranded as The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel.
This deal marks the international expansion of the iconic Ibiza-born brand with the launch of The Unexpected Hotels & Residences, a collection that promises to redefine luxury living.
