A historic house over 100 years old has just opened in Khorfakkan (a city located on the east coast of the UAE) — and now you can… stay there. This beautifully restored home has been transformed into an upscale destination for hospitality and cultural tourism.
So, the house features seven renovated apartments: five Kareen Double Rooms and two Kareen Single Rooms, each offering stunning views of the mountains. The property also includes a reception area and a restaurant, all set within a 17,210-square-meter estate. You can already book a room starting at 1030 AED per night.
Imagine staying in a hotel and realising that this land was once inhabited by the Al Hanateeb tribe. Sounds incredible, doesn’t it? It also sounds like a beautiful retreat in the heart of the village, surrounded by mountains, mountains, mountains and rich heritage.
This restoration is part of the "Najd Al Maqsar" project, marking its first phase. So, we should get ready for more updates on the transformation of the entire Najd Al Maqsar village.
This village boasts a fort and 13 houses, each over 100 years old. Its location atop the Wadi Shi mountains, at an elevation of about 220 meters, offers visitors breathtaking panoramic views of Khorfakkan from its summit.
Najd Al Maqsar, one of the oldest villages nestled in the "Al Sharqiya" mountains, stands as a testament to the ancient history of Khorfakkan. The village is rich with petroglyphs (like carved stones with many drawings of camels and horses) that date back to 2000 BC. Honestly, we wish we could teleport there right now to see them with our own eyes.
