21 Feb 2024

While we have compiled a comprehensive guide to Ramadan 2025, we haven't yet covered the places you should visit to deeply understand the essence of this sacred month. So, without further ado, here's our guide to the essential places to visit and activities to experience during Ramadan in the UAE.

Visiting the mosques during Ramadan 2025 is a fantastic way to truly understand the religious significance of this festival for Muslims and the country's people. There are several places, such as the Imam Hussein Mosque, Al Farooq Omar bin Al Khattab Mosque, the eco-friendly Khalifa Al Tajer Mosque, Jumeirah Mosque, and more. However, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is the most famous one, where knowledgeable tour guides will explain the importance of this time of year for Muslims. It is an incredible opportunity to learn more about religion and immerse yourself in the rich culture of Dubai. Take advantage of this enlightening experience.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque holds special significance during Ramadan. During this time, you can experience the beautiful tradition of breaking the fast at sunset, also known as Iftar, and witness the joy as loved ones gather to share a meal and end their fast.
Plus, you can join the Taraweeh prayers after the evening prayer. Ramadan is a particular time for Muslims to unite in worship and reflection.

If you have been waiting for discounts at your favorite shops, now is the time. Many stores offer fantastic discounts and promotions, especially for Ramadan shoppers. So, if you are planning to shop, this could be the perfect opportunity to snag some great deals.
Some restaurants in Dubai Mall offer iftar and suhoor meals, allowing you to break your fast or have a pre-dawn meal. It is a great way to experience traditional Emirati cuisine. Dubai Mall has designated prayer rooms where you can pray during Ramadan. The mall is beautifully decorated with Ramadan-themed decorations, creating a festive and spiritual atmosphere.
Dubai Mall often organises family-friendly activities during Ramadan, such as henna painting, traditional music performances, and cultural exhibitions. Our advice is: check the operating hours and Ramadan activities at the mall before visiting, as things may change

It is a chance to connect with the community, embrace different cultures, and experience Ramadan from a unique perspective. And, of course, remember to indulge in the delicious food pop-ups throughout the Avenue to break your fast. It is going to be an unforgettable experience.
Last year, Alserkal invited visitors to enjoy their Storytelling Series with Shereen Saif, live music, coffee-making workshops, poetry performances with Danebelle Gutierrez, Slow Art Walks in different languages, and much more. We are eagerly anticipating what they have for visitors this year.
